Our department committed to providing useful resources for the economic
development of our community.
Many Indian communities see the Gila River Indian Community economic
development efforts as a model for Indian Country. The Community
is already beginning to have an impact in the Phoenix metropolitan
area and Pinal County with its new Whirlwind golf courses (home
of the PGA's Buy.com Golf tournament, and managed by Troon Golf),
the opening of a 500-room Sheraton at Wild Horse Pass Resort (managed
by Sheraton Resorts), which includes the Adjii Spa and equestrian
center, and the newly constructed 400-acre Wild Horse Pass Business
Park, in its new 2,400-acre development known as the "Wild
Horse Pass."
The Community offers three casinos with over 1400 slots available
today, and with additional slots to be added in the near future
as well as Las Vegas style Blackjack. The Community offers many
locations throughout the reservation that includes prime locations
adjacent to Phoenix, Chandler, Gilbert, Coolidge, and Casa Grande
for your development needs. With its "one-stop shop" for
developmental services, the Community has to offer one of the quickest
development approval processes in the state.
